One adult and a pair of juveniles have been arrested in connection with a recent rash of BB gun incidents. The Madison County Sheriff's Department has charged 18-year-old Dylan A. Johnson of the 100 block of St. Charles Drive in Godfrey with felony criminal damage to property over $300. The juveniles are awaiting court proceedings through the juvenile courts, and are being held at the Madison County Juvenile Detention Facility.

The incidents began last week, when Captain Mike Dixon of the Madison County Sheriff's Department says Johnson and his alleged cohorts shot windows out of 39 randomly chosen cars in Wood River, and two Godfrey subdivisions- Camelot and Villa Marie.

Dixon comments

$8,000 to $10,000 is the damage estimate from the alleged crime spree. Dixon says the State's Attorney is usually very diligent in seeking restitution for victims, so it is quite possible the suspects will be required to pay to fix the damage, if found guilty.
