Alton Police have rounded up a pair of alleged heroin dealers in the Upper Alton area, and they are now charged with Unlawful Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, while located within 1000 feet of School Property and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. Charged are 33-year-old Tyron L. Adams (pictured, bottom), and 26-year-old Cara L. Moss (pictured, top), both of the same address in the 2700 block of Powhattan.
Both are accused of possessing Heroin, with the intent to deliver that Heroin, while within 1000 feet of the Motivational Achievement Center on the corner of Washington Avenue and Amelia Street. They were charged after police developed enough evidence, based in part on tips left by the public. In an interview conducted earlier this summer on Z-1570, Police Chief David Hayes addressed the problem of drug houses.
Police officials remind the public can get involved by calling 463-3505, or the anonymous tip line at 465-5948. Both Adams and Moss are being held in lieu of $125,000 bond.
