A 19-year-old Alton man is being sought by police after allegedly firing a weapon at a local carnival and a house party last weekend. Nekemar Pearson of Alton is accused of firing shots into a crowd at the St. Elizabeth’s Carnival late Friday night, and then shooting at a man at a house party in Godfrey less than an hour later.
That house party was taking place in the 300 block of St. Charles Street in the Villa Marie subdivision. Madison County Sheriff’s Department Captain Mike Dixon tells The Big Z Pearson needs to be taken off the street.

Cook is in custody. If you know anything about either shooting or Pearson’s location, you are asked to call the Anonymous Tip Line at 618-296-3000.
