There’s more of a global presence at St. Louis Regional Airport these days. The airport in Bethalto hosts a number of businesses, including West Star Aviation, which recently built a new 67,000 square foot hangar. Business has been good enough to justify the expenditure, with the addition of a number of foreign clients recently, according to the airport manager.
David Miller tells The Big Z among the bigger clients secured in 2014 was the Egyptian Air Force.

Miller says there is at least one person attached to every plane that is being serviced, so that means there is a steady stream of clients from other places booking local hotel rooms and spending money in the Riverbend.
