Sunday marked 100 days until the first day of enrollment for the Affordable care Act. As of October 1st, millions of Americans who can't afford health insurance will have access to affordable coverage. Illinois Department of Insurance Spokesman Mark Terry says the Illinois legislature expanded Medicare coverage before breaking for the summer to include more people who are low income or uninsured.
Terry says families will be able to utilize health care tax credits to purchase quality affordable coverage, or obtain coverage through the expansion of Medicaid. For more information on the Affordable Care Act, follow the link below or call 1-866-445-5364.
