Last month was the 10th warmest March on record in Illinois. The average temperature in March was 46 1/2 degrees, which is more than five degrees above normal, according to State Climatologist Jim Angel.
He says it was also a little wetter than normal.

Northern parts of the state saw some snow. Forecasters say the outlook for April calls for an increased chance of being warmer than normal, except for parts of northern Illinois.
