Dalton Carriker.ROXANA - Roxana High School senior Dalton Carriker is concluding his athletic career in style this spring for the Shells baseball team as a key player.

He earned All-Conference honors in baseball and football and was the 2025 Baseball Offensive Player of the Year, according to information provided by Stephanie Carriker.

Carriker, a Roxana athlete and straight-A student, has also earned Academic All-State recognition in football. In baseball, he has “already broken multiple Roxana records” and is on pace to appear on additional program leaderboards as he finishes his senior season.

Carriker is a Midwest Members Credit Union Male Athlete Of The Month for the Shells.

“My favorite thing about baseball is running the bases,” Carriker said.

Coaches also highlighted his involvement off the field, noting he was named this year’s Service Above Self Award recipient, is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and volunteers at youth football and baseball camps.

Carriker is also described as a dedicated Reef Club member who helps clean bleachers and pick up trash at home and away games.

Carriker will continue his baseball career at McKendree University and plans to study criminal justice.
