SUMMARY:Giving Light to Darkness - Book Reading and Signing
LOCATION:Germania Brew Haus\, 617 E Broadway\, Alton\, IL 62002
DESCRIPTION:Post concussion syndrome (PCS) depression is real. It IS a
thing!\n \nSometimes after someone has suffered a concussion\, someti
mes months and even years later\, they can feel like they aren&rsquo\;
t themselves. Like they are off. Unfortunately we don&rsquo\;t know or
talk about this issue enough. The book "Giving Light to Darkness: A t
rue story of the debilitating control OF post concussion syndrome depr
ession" sheds light on the silent killer of PCS depression.\n \nThe bo
ok is the plea of a mother who lost her son to suicide months after he
sustained a concussion. It was created to shed light on this difficul
t topic with the hope it helps save lives! It shares the story of a yo
ung man conflicted after a tragic\, yet survivable\, accident.\n \nWit
h increased knowledge we will be better equipped to support a loved on
e suffering with the silent killer.\n \nJoin us to celebrate the launc
h of the book and to remember a young man who left us too soon.\n\nEve
