About this event

Please Note: Branching Out will be attending the Kentucky Barracuda lecture by author Joe Goodbody in the Performance Room at Hayner Library at Alton Square Mall during the May 15 Branching Out event. The Branching Out discussion group will not be held at the Genealogy & Local History Library on May 15.  The Hayner Genealogy & Local History Library offers Branching Out classes at the Genealogy & Local History Library, 401 State Street, Alton, IL. Branching Out classes take place from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. On the second Thursday of each month, library staff presents a discussion of a genealogy research topic. On the third Thursday, we gather around the fireplace, and each of us gets a chance to share family stories, photos, and projects. We just relax and listen when we don’t have anything to share. We learn from each other and have some laughs too!
