Kids can read to Woody, a therapy dog, and meet the creator of the "Hank the Hero" coloring and activity book at the West End Service Station, 620 St. Louis Street.
Hank was an actual dog at the service station back in the Route 66 era in Edwardsville. Today, the station is a FREE Route 66 visitors center!
Saturday's event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with free snacks and activities for the kiddos, courtesy of Great Rivers & Routes.
