About this event

After a 2020 hiatus, we are BACK ?? Are you ready to test your Disney knowledge in our 6th Relay For Life Riverbend Disney Trivia?

Like many events, we are going VIRTUAL this time and Registration is NOW OPEN! The trivia will be played via the ZOOM platform.

Your group can be in person together or able to communicate in other forms excluding Zoom to participate. So, gather your teammates, decide where you will be socially distant together, and let’s have some Disney fun!!

To register, send an email to pbpribbons@yahoo.com with the following information:
Team captain name, team captain email address, trivia team name, and Relay For Life participant/team for fundraising credit (if applicable). Please only have one person (your team captain) sign up your team.

Registration cost for your group/team will be $40. The registration fee must be paid for by Thursday, March 4th to receive the Zoom trivia link the day of trivia. Please make sure you have a good email address to receive the trivia link.

What to expect:
• 8 rounds of questions in various Disney Themed Categories.
• Breaks in between each round for scoring/chatting with your team and other teams
• A fun (and magical) way to spend an evening indoors and an opportunity to hang out with friends/family (virtually) on your team who you may be social distancing from right now.

We know there is nothing stopping this from being an “open-book” test. Please do not look up the answers (Mickey’s honor).

There will be a prize for the top team(s). We will mail you a fun Disney Certificate recognizing you as the Relay For Life Riverbend Disney Trivia Champions. We will also be recognizing the team with the best team name!

We will be capping the number of teams to avoid complications and too much time spent on scoring in between rounds (we want this to be fun, not boring!). Registration will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. All teams must appoint a team captain who will be in charge of signing up their team and submitting the answers each round. All teams must be registered and paid by Thursday, March 4th. However, the event may be capped before this, so we suggest registering your team ASAP.

You can find all of this information on our Facebook event here, please share it with your friends and family. Additionally, find the FAQ below. There is a lot of information here, so make sure to check for any questions you may have!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
-Where do I pay my registration fee?
Registration fee can be paid through Venmo, Paypal, or by direct donation to a Relay For Life Riverbend participant or team. Venmo @GinnySadich, Paypal pbpribbons@yahoo.com or donate to your participant or team page at www.relayforlife.org/riverbendil

-What is the deadline for registration?
Please register and pay for your team by March 4th to ensure you receive the trivia link on March 6th before trivia begins.

-If I’m a Relay participant and I’m already forming my own trivia team, or I am unavailable to form a trivia team on this day, can my friends/family create their own team to play and still donate to my page?

Yes! The goal is to help you get as many donations to your fundraising page as possible. You can send this opportunity out to as many people as you’d like and pass along your personal fundraising page link.

-If this is taking place on Zoom, will the other players/teams be able to see me?
No. All of the players will be able to see the trivia host, but you can turn off video and we will be muting the audio for all teams. The chat function will be available.
-Do I need to download Zoom in order to play?

You can either download zoom to your desktop or phone, or you can view the zoom event from your browser window, no download required. We ask that you do not use the call-in number option because you will miss questions/features that need to be seen on the screen.

-How many people are permitted on each team?
Please cap your team at 6 people to be fair to the other players.

-Do I need to have a team, or can I play by myself?
You do not need to have a team and can definitely play by yourself! If you’d like to come up with a team name for your team of one, you are welcome to, or you can just use your name when signing up.

-How will I be able to see my team members if they don’t live with me and we are forming a virtual team?
That’s up to you and your team! Since we will be using Zoom to operate the event, Zoom won’t be an option for seeing your own team. But you can use Facetime, Facebook Video, Google Hangouts, or any other video chat service either on your phone or in a separate window on your computer screen to communicate with your team members.

-How will my team submit our answers?
All team captains will be responsible for submitting your answer sheet via Google Forms. You will receive answer sheets in advance on the morning of March 6th. Please only submit one answer sheet per team.

-Is this event kid-friendly?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome!
