This free class teaches where, when and how to apply a tourniquet in order to stop a life threatening bleed. Motivated by the 2012 tragedy in Sandy Hook and multiple tragedies that have occurred since, the Hartford Consensus concluded that lives can be saved by providing first responders and civilian bystanders the skills and basic tools to stop uncontrolled bleeding in an emergency situation.
