Madison County Health Department encourages our community to be better prepared and we invite community members to join us in this effort. One opportunity to get involved in preparedness in Madison County is to Become A Volunteer with our Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). You do not have to have any medical background to be an MRC Volunteer. We are seeking people 18 years of age and older with a variety of backgrounds and interests to join the Madison County Medical Reserve Corps to help us if we should ever have an emergency here in Madison County. Volunteers will learn about the Madison County Medical Reserve Corps, Public Health Emergency Response, Incident Command System, Strategic National Stockpile, Points of Dispensing, and Family Preparedness.
Advanced registration is required to attend the training. Seating is limited. Registration deadline is Wednesday, April 11th.
To register, contact: Cathy Paone, M.S.P.H. Volunteer Management Specialist Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer Coordinator (618) 296-6096 firstname.lastname@example.org
