Yoga is for every body. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to be flexible and bendy to learn yoga – increased flexibility and mobility are products of the practice. Other benefits of learning yoga include getting stronger, improving your circulation, increasing your self-esteem and self-discovery.
In this 6-week course, Gail Herzog, 200-RYT, will introduce you to the fundamental asanas (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation. The history and philosophy of yoga are also discussed. Props are available in each class and modifications are always provided. This course is also appropriate for anyone who hasn’t practiced yoga for a while and needs a refresher.
