Where academic achievement, religious affiliation with Ss. Peter & Paul Church and participation by our students and parents are all highly valued. Our academic community is small enough for adults and children to know one another, but large enough to provide opportunities such as art and sports

May the peace and grace of Christ the Teacher be with you as we begin this New School Year of Grace 2015-2016!
When you married in Christ you made two promises to Christ, one being that if God gave you the gift of a child you would raise the child up according to the Law of Christ and His Church.
In fulfilling this promise when God did bless you with a child, you had your child baptized. In having your child baptized, you were called to be the First Teachers of your children in the ways of faith. You do this by practicing the faith in the home by word and deed. Faith in the home is most often caught and not taught. The best way to pass on the faith which is your primary responsibility is by practicing the faith. You received the faith by practicing it in your home by the examples of your parents and grandparents.
We thank you for the wonderful job you have done with God's grace to pass on the faith to your children.
Saints Peter and Paul School can only reinforce what is going on in the home. The Catholic School is not the substitute for your role as the Primary Religious Educators.
In light of the above, we welcome you and your child(ren) to this New School Year of Grace 2015-2016.
We would like to instill the orthodox Catholic Teaching during this school year by recovering many of the devotional and faith-filled practices of being authentic Catholic Christians by incorporating the following into the everyday curriculum:
*Morning prayer (Guardian Angel Prayer) *Short Reflection on the Church Season of Year and the Saint of the Day *The Angelus being said at noon each day *Noon Meal Prayer Recited in class *Rosary weekly at 2:30 *Periodic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Confessions *Dismissal prayer-Recitation of 1 decade of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy each day *Mass attendance twice weekly *Monitoring weekend mass attendance
Grateful for your witness to the faith and passing that faith onto your children, we are, Monsignor Kenneth C. Steffen, PH, KHS. MA, MDiv., DMin., JCL Mr. Harry Cavanaugh, Prinicpal

The Athletic Program at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School offers baseball, basketball for boys and girls, volleyball, and bowling. Our mission is to promote athletic competition though a variety of sports. Through competition, our students are taught good sportsmanship, team work, and commitment, while keeping a healthy mind and body. Through practices and competitions, students learn the values of hard work, and working as part of a team.
Like last year we will be allowing the 3rd grade students to play in basketball. We will also allow the girls to participate in volleyball as well. They will be just like any other student and pay the fees that go along with the privilege of playing a sport.
This is my second year as AD and I hope to add a few new things to promote our Catholic School Pride. Overall I want the students at SSPP to have a good time playing sports and learn something along the way.
Please feel free to contact me at 618-920-6139, with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely, Katie Lyons Athletic Director Ss. Peter and Paul School
