Substance Abuse Counselors provides counseling and support services to inmates admitted or seeking admission to the Correctional Center’s Treatment Program.
Major areas of responsibility for this job.
A. Completes intakes and assessments as needed.
B. Provides individual and group counseling.
C. Completes treatment planning and other required clinical documentation in accordance with contractual requirements and licensing regulations.
D. Provides case management services and coordination of the youth’s treatment.
E. Develops post-release plans.
F. Participates in staff growth and development activities.
Note: This is a part-time position located in Grafton, IL
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field
Experience or expertise with offender populations preferred
Experience or expertise with juveniles preferred
Must meet professional staff qualifications as required by 77 Illinois Administrative Code 2060.309 within two years of employment
