The Madison County Housing Authority is seeking a skilled Housing Clerk to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing quality housing solutions to low-income individuals and families.
Position: Housing Management Clerk
Responsibilities:
HUD Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations and requirements.
Low-Income Tax Credit (LIHTC): Demonstrate expertise in LIHTC program regulations and reporting.
Document Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, lease agreements, and other housing-related documents.
Rent Collection: Oversee the timely collection of rent, fees, and deposits, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Tenant Relations: Foster positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and providing assistance when needed.
Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies, including HUD and state authorities.
Training: Keep abreast of changes in HUD and LIHTC regulations and ensure staff understanding through training sessions.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in housing management, with a focus on HUD and LIHTC requirements. Knowledge: Strong understanding of HUD regulations and Low-Income Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requirements. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with attention to detail. Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and proactively implement solutions.
