BELLEVILLE – Caritas Family Solutions, a nonprofit social services agency focused on strengthening the well-being of individuals and families, raised $13,853 on Giving Tuesday thanks to the generosity of its supporters and a matching donation from Performance Roofing Inc. The proceeds will benefit Caritas’ Fontebella Maternity Home which provides pregnant women facing homelessness with a safe place to live.

“Giving Tuesday is an excellent opportunity for us to educate the community about what Fontebella does and how it is making a difference in the lives of women and children,” said Caritas Family Solutions CEO, Gary Huelsmann. “Over the past year, we’ve provided eight women who were homeless, and their babies, with a safe place to live and empowered them with resources to have a healthy pregnancy. Fontebella receives no government funding and is supported solely by donor contributions so these donations make a tremendous impact.”
