RBGA Celebrates Opening of AMH Women’s Health and Child Birth Center with Ribbon Cutting

The turnout was robust for the River Bend Growth Association’s ceremonial Ribbon Cutting to commemorate the ‘official’ opening of Alton Memorial Hospital’s Women’s Health and Child Birth Center.  Alton Memorial Hospital, a member of BJC HealthCare, undertook the 9 month, $2 million renovation project in response to a near doubling in deliveries from 360 five years ago to over 700 in 2014.

On hand for the celebration was Dave Baasch, President of AMH, Jessica Mossman, Manager of Women's Health and Childbirth Center, Dr. Geoffrey Turner, Ob/Gyn, Art Williams, Vice Chairman of Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation Board, AMHSF Board Members, Joanne Adams and Gay Bryant, Marlene Lewis, Manager of AMH Development Office, Rusty Ingram, Director of Business Development at AMH, Brad Goacher, Vice President of Administration at AMH, Steve Thompson, Chairman of AMH board of directors, Alton Mayor Brant Walker and Growth Association Officers Monica Bristow and Joell Aquirre.
