Alton High senior Moory Woods will play college basketball in Missouri next season. The 6-4 guard has announced he has committed to Moberly Area Community College (MACC).
Woods led the Redbirds in almost every offensive category this season:
370 points (13 ppg)
202 rebounds (7 rpg)
125 assists, 51 steals, 20 blocks, 52% FG

The Moberly (MO) Greyhounds are one of the storied basketball programs in the junior college ranks. They went 27-and-6 this year winning 7 in a row to close out the season. They also won 18-of-20 to end the year. They had qualified for their 29th appearance in the NJCAA Nationals when the season was shutdown in March due to the Coronavirus.
The Greyhounds won the Region 16 title and then the District 4 championship to advance to the NJCAA National Tournament. Moberly's head coach Pat Smith has won over 700 games in his coaching career and was recently voted into the NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
