Week 7 of the prep football season kicked off here on Z-1570 with the Waterloo Bulldogs spoiling homecoming weekend for the Civic Memorial Eagles in Bethalto. Dylan Mueller gave the Eagles an early lead but Waterloo fought back and made it a 7-6 ball game by halftime. The Bulldogs started the scoring in the second half, using a field goal to take 9-7 lead. But Mueller's work wasn't done as he managed to find the end zone again in the 3rd quarter.

Mueller's second score put the Eagles back on top, but Waterloo would have the last laugh as quarterback Arik Bueltman moved the Bulldogs down the field and into the endzone, giving them a 16-15 lead late in the fourth. C.M. would have one last possession to try to win the game, but the Bulldogs held their ground and went on to win 16-15. C.M. drops to 1-3 in the MVC and 2-5 overall. They will host Triad next week in their final home game of the season
