Illinois sophomore Tevian Jones has announced via his Twitter account he will not be returning to th team. He has apparently declared his intention to find another program for his final two years of eligibility.
The news comes less than a day after fellow sophomore Alan Griffin has announced his intention Tuesday evening to transfer away from the Illinois men’s basketball program. There's more potential upheaval in the program, as All-Big Ten first-team selection and Illini leading scorer Ayo Dosunmu has also yet to announce his decision on whether he’ll leave school after two seasons for professional basketball.
The 6-7 Jones was a 4-star recruit from Arizona. The sophomore played in only 13 games this season with 10 rebounds and 12 points on the year. He had a career high 18 points in a win over 13th ranked Maryland last year (his freshman year).
