The Illinois Fighting Illini lost at home to Northwestern, 68-54 Thursday night at Assembly Hall in Champaign. Brandon Paul had a game high 21 points for Illinois in a losing cause. The Wildcats were led by Reggie Hearn who scored 20 points.
Northwestern improved to 11-and-7 overall and 2-and-3 in the Big Ten Conference. Illinois dropped to 14-and-5 overall and 1-and-4 in conference play.
