High School football practice kicked off on Monday around the state of Illinois.
The first two days of the week teams practiced with helmets only. Then it's three days of helmets and shoulder pads. The first day for full pads and full contact drills will be this Saturday.
Pat Keith is starting his 7th season as the Roxana High School head football coach. His Shells qualified for the Class 4A playoffs last year and finished 8-and-3 in 2014.
The Shells Chance is ready for his senior year. He started a few games at QB during his freshman and sophomore seasons. He started all the games at quarterback last year as a junior.
Roxana kicks off the 2015 season with its home opener on Friday, August 28th against the Carlinville Cavaliers.
