The boys and girls cross country regionals were held over the weekend. 


Class 3A Edwardsville Regional @ SIUE:

Alton junior Arie Macias finished in 7th place to advance to the Normal Sectional this Saturday (Oct. 31).  Three other Redbirds also qualified for the sectional -- Jett Durr, Sam Gentelin, and Kelvin Cummings.  On the girls side, Alton's Tayton Kuebli also advanced to the sectional next weekend. 


*Granite City's Will O'Keefe finished in first place to win the regional.




Class 2A Jacksonville Regional:


C.M.'s Alexis Singleton & Cohl Callies advanced to the Decatur Sectional this weekend. 


Jersey's Kiara Chapman & Kaleigh Grace advanced to the sectional as well.  Ben Flowers (Jerseyville) won first place to take the regional title.  The Panthers' boys team finished 4th at the regional to advance to the sectional. 




Class 1A New Athens Regional:


The top two finishers in the girls race were senior Haley Kerpan (EA/WR) & senior Kyrston Scifres (Roxana).  Kerpan was the regional champ with the 1st place finish.


The Lady Shells team qualified for the Metro East Sectional Saturday at SIUE.  Marquette's Natalie Halliday also will compete in the sectional. 


The Shells and Oilers both advanced their boys cross country teams to the sectional round.  EA/WR was third at the regional led by Brenden Springman (7th).  Matthew Shea, Andrew Noack, Chase Wallendorff and Ryne White also finished under the 20-minute mark for the Oilers.

Southwestern's Caden Bohn & Ashley Moore also advanced to the sectional Saturday.
