Matt Holliday homered in the first inning and Carlos Martinez pitched seven innings of one-run baseball as the Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs, 5-3 at Busch Stadium on Wednesday.  

The game was delayed by rain for 3-hours and 21-minutes in the middle of the 7th inning with the Redbirds leading 4-1.

Trevor Rosenthal finished the game notching his 4th save of the season.  He struck out the side in the 9th inning to earn his 100th career save.  He became the 5th Cardinal to reach 100-saves.
