Michael Long, Tim Manville, and Ryan Bunton picked up wins at the Deuces Wild event Friday night at Tri City Speedway. Long, the defending track champion in the Modified division, cruised to a straightaway victory over defending national champion Mike Harrison. Defending Late Model national champion Bobby Pierce Jr. led 28 laps, but was passed for the win by Highland's Tim Manville coming to the white flag. The two crossed the finish line separated by about three feet. Bunton of Morton, IL won the sprint car feature.
NASCAR at Bristol
Missouri's Carl Edwards will start from the pole at Sunday's Food City 500 Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Edwards qualified Friday with speed of 127.997mph for his 2nd pole of 2016, 2nd straight pole, 3rd at Bristol and 18th of his career. Matt Kenseth will start 2nd, followed by Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Busch.
