Marquette’s softball season ended yesterday in the Class 2A Nashville Super-Sectional.  The Lady Explorers fell to the host Nashville Hornettes, 3-1. 

Marquette ends the softball season at 35-3 – one game short of their third straight trip to the state tournament in East Peoria.

The Explorers led 1-0 when Nashville rallied for 2 runs in the 5th and one run in the 6th to advance to state with a mark of 33-4. 

Nashville will face St. Joseph-Ogden at state Friday afternoon at 2:30….The St. Joe Spartans take a 40-0 record to state.
