The Alton Lady Redbirds bowling team is playing in the Johnston City Sectional on Saturday. They qualified for the Sectional after finishing second in the team standings last weekend at Camelot Bowl at the Collinsville Regional. Alton senior Eryka Graham won the regional title with a 1302 score (217 avg). Graham averaged a 225 per game during the 2016 season.

Collinsville edged out Alton for the team title at the Regional, 5671-5645 (26 pins).
The Lady Redbirds went 12-and-2 overall this season. They were the 2016 Southwestern Conference champions with a 10-and-2 record in the SWC.
Alton now competes in the Johnston City Girls Bowling Sectional Saturday in Carterville. Other teams at the Sectional include: Collinsville, Highland, Triad, Cahokia, Belleville East, Waterloo, O'Fallon, Herrin, Salem, Carbondale and Harrisburg.
The state finals for girls bowling will be held at The Cherry Bowl in Rockford next Friday and Saturday (Feb 19-20).
