The University of Illinois Fighting Illini made it three wins in three days as they posted a 78-61 win over the Butler Bulldogs in the title game of the Maui Invitational last night. Tournament MVP Brandon Paul led the Illini with 20 points.

Tracy Abrams added 17 points while D.J. Richardson and Tyler Griffey each scored 14 in the win. Richardson also had a game-high nine rebounds for the Illini. Rotnei Clarke was the only Butler player to reach double digits. He finished with 27 points in the loss.
