After scoring a touchdown on the opening drive, things fell apart for the Fighting Illini on Saturday as they lost their 9th game in a row to Northwestern. The Wildcats turned four Illini turnovers into 28 points on the way to the 50-14 victory.
Venric Marc finished with 127 yards with a touchdown, while quarterback Kain Colter threw for a career-high three touchdowns as Northwestern improved to 9-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten. Donovonn Young ran for 74 yards with a touchdown in the loss for the Illini, who end the season winless in the Big Ten (0-8) and just 2-10 overall.
