The second game of our doubleheader took us to Hauser Field where the Civic Memorial Eagles were hosting the Mount Zion Braves on senior night. The Eagles jumped out to a 13-0 lead following a pair of Mt. Zion fumbles that were quickly turned into rushing touchdowns for senior Zach Klaustemeier. The Braves quickly answered back with a pair scores to make it 13-12 in favor of the Eagles after one quarter. The score would remain the same until another one of the Eagles' senior players put his mark on the game.
Kirkpatrick scampers for a TD
Kirkpatrick would throw for a touchdown on C.M.'s next possession and ran in another score in the fourth quarter to seal the Eagles' 32-12 victory. The Eagles finish the season 3-6 overall and a disappointing 1-4 in the Mississippi Valley Conference. The Braves conclude the season 3-6 overall.
