It was a rough day on the field for many of the other teams in the Riverbend. In Bethalto, defensive miscues led to the Civic Memorial Eagles' undoing as they were on the wrong end of a 16-1 drubbing at the hands of the Edwardsville Tigers. Matthew Zielonko led the Tigers attack with 3 RBIs, while Collin Clayton, Brock Weimer and Aaron Jackson each knocked in a pair in the win. Daniel Lloyed worked three scoreless frames to earn the win on the mound.
The Eagles fall to 0-2 with the loss and will be back in action Tuesday against Breese Central
