Justin Winslow has resigned as the Civic Memorial Eagles head football coach.  Winslow has been on the Eagles football coaching staff for the last 9 years – 5 years as a head coach & 4 years as an assistant.

The Bethalto School Board will have their regular monthly meeting on Monday and will accept the coach’s resignation.

Winslow’s record as the Eagles head coach was 20-and-26.  C.M. finished 7-and-3 this season and qualified for the IHSA Class 4A football playoffs.  They lost in the first round of the playoffs to Breese Mater Dei (34-14).   It’s the first playoff appearance for the Eagles since 2010 when they went 5-5 under coach Scott Tonsor.

Former Staunton Bulldogs head coach Mike Parmentier could be among the candidates for the head coaching position.  He’s been at C.M. for the last two seasons.
