The St. Louis Cardinals won their 6th game in a row, topping the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-7. Paul Goldschmidt hit a 2 run homer as part of the Cardinals offensive attack that also saw home runs from Yadier Molina, Harrison Bader and Tommy Edman also homered.
Adam Wainwright earned his 5th win in a row and Carlos Martinez got save number 24.
With the win, the Cardinals magic number to clinch the NL Central is now 3, and they are 3.5 in front of Milwaukee who sits in 2nd place.
Jack Flaherty will be on the mound tonight for St. Louis. He is 10-8 on the season.
The Brewers and Cubs were both off on Monday. Milwaukee plays in Cincinnati tonight, while the Cubs are in Pittsburgh.
