The St. Louis Blues announced earlier today (Wednesday) that they have signed Executive Vice-President and General Manager Doug Armstrong to a five-year contract extension (thru the 2017-2018 season).
Armstrong was named the Blues’ GM two years ago (on July 1, 2010) – he was named the NHL’s General Manager of the year last season.
During his time in St. Louis, Armstrong has compiled an 87-60-22 record in two seasons as GM.
