Bankside Repertory Theatre performs "The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged)"

June 21, 22, 23; 7:30 pm & June 28, 29, 30; 7:30 pm The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, & Jess Winfield performed by the professional theater company of Bankside Repertory Theatre Company at Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway, Alton IL 62002. Performances begin at 7:30; doors open at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10 - students; $15 - Thursday; $20 - Friday & Saturday. O’Hagan, Jack Dearborn and Lici Steele will be shot straight outta the Bard's canon to explain it all in, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield. The evening will be a Ham(let)-fisted mash-up of 40 plays and 153 sonnets (the lads of Monty Python’s Flying Circus wished they had written). Three performers take the audience through just about everything ever written by “Will the Quill.” AUDIENCE ADVISORY: Not for sensitive younger audience members, the faint of heart, or stuffy, humourless traditionalists.
