ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS:

Valerie Barber is a 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher, teaching both open level flow group classes as well as private yoga sessions. She believes adjustments are essential in keeping the student safe, deepening the posture and helping the student relax in more passive poses.

Louise M. Hamlin-Laird is an E-RYT 200 and YACEP, who has been practicing mindful movement and meditation for over fifty years. She teaches Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, ViniYoga and offers diverse workshops. Additionally, she teaches yoga to junior high and high school students, teachers, mental health care professionals, McKendree Cross Country Track & Field team and private yoga sessions. As a student of yoga – Louise discovered the importance of a great adjustment - it could help to correct alignment and keep her safer, demonstrate the feelings and sensations of correct alignment, allow her to go deeper into a pose, and transform the expression and experience of her practice by helping her understand and relate to each posture. As a teacher she wants to share her love of yoga, meditation, and the art of adjustments.
