Join Tamara H. Schenkenberg, curator, and Monika Weiss, artist and associate professor at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, for a screening and discussion of three short films by Mona Hatoum, including "Don’t smile you’re on camera!" (1980), "Roadworks" (1985), and "Measures of Distance" (1988). The conversation will reflect on how the themes Hatoum articulated in each film were revisited and expanded upon in her sculptures and installations of the 1990s through the present day, many of which will be on view in Mona Hatoum: Terra Infirma.
