Trans Basics with Jaimie Hileman

Please join Trans/LGBTQIA+ Cultural Competency Educator Jaimie Hileman for a presentation on Trans Basics at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. Monday, March 26, in honor of LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week in Reid Memorial Library. Participants will achieve a greater awareness of Trans experiences, including those associated with the components of gender transition, such as gender identity, gender expectations, and gender expression, as well as an understanding of basic cultural competency and terminology. Attendees will encounter best practices, real-world examples of inclusion strategies, and multiple aspects of allyship to Trans people and methods to implement.
