The Color of Medicine: The Story of Homer G. Phillips Hospital

From 1937 to its closing in 1979, Homer G. Phillips Hospital served as the premier institution for black doctors and nurses throughout the country. The Color of Medicine chronicles the rise and fall of this iconic institution. The film also features Dr. Earle U. Robinson Jr., a second-generation physician and alumnus of Homer G. Phillips Hospital, who shares his story and that of his father, Dr. Earle Robinson Sr., who was among the institution’s first 27 black graduates.

Nikki Woods will serve as mistress of ceremony.
