Making Ethical Choices and Avoiding Scams In Our Community
3/28/2018 -
Did you know that 40% of the fraud cases reported last year targeted young people? “Making Ethical Choices and Avoiding Scams In Our Community,” will be presented by Matt Flinner, the St. Louis Better Business Bureau’s Education and Outreach Coordinator. The presentation will include common scams that target students, suggestions to help identify trustworthy businesses, ethics and the consequences of your decisions, along with a wide range of other tips and advice designed to help you stay safe and have a fruitful career. This event is free and open to the public. Matt is a St. Louis native and University of Missouri - Columbia alum who spends his time educating groups about the BBB and its efforts to prevent frauds like identity theft from negatively impacting our region.

He will also be available to help answer any questions you may have about scams that have impacted you or the best course of action when faced with an ethical dilemma. This L&C Diversity Council event is presented by the Mannie Jackson Endowment and Center for the Humanities with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
