This is an annual Native American shopping event held at Cahokia Mounds. This April, 25 Native American artists will present Native American arts and crafts from around the country for sale. Many tribal affiliations are represented and different media as well. There will be some regular fan favorites here as well as a few new artists. Norris Chee, Navajo, will be here with is award-winning paintings and drawings, Billy Lacy, Oklahoma Cherokee, with fine hand-crafted jewelry, and Keith Yazzie Jay, Navaho, fine etched pottery and many more. This is a free event to attend and begins at noon on Friday. A St. Louis favorite food truck, The Cheese Shack, will be here at 11 to provide a fine array of hand-crafted Grilled Cheese sandwiches and sides. This event is a wonderful way for you to experience Native American culture and support the The Indian Arts and Crafts Act.
