Warhammer 40k Competitive ITC Format Tournament

Registration begins at 10:00am. Event begins promptly at 10:30am. Entry fee is 20$ Prize support: All prizes will be awarded as store credit. The prize pool is the total of player entry fees. Scoring: Mission victory point total will be used to determine placement. (Win = 1000pts plus battle points, Draw = 500pts plus battle points, Loss = 0pts plus battle points) First place gets 50% of the prize pool. Second place: 35% Third place: 15% Any ties will have the two prizes totaled and divided evenly. 3 Rounds will be played. 2 hour time limit per round After the first round a lunch break of 1 hour will be taken. Capped at 18 players. You may pre-register by calling Fantasy Books and Games at (618) 624-0920 and adding your name to the list. Any pre-registered slot will be given to the next in line at 10:15am on event day. Event details for players: Army Construction: Matched play rules from the Warhammer 40k Rulebook will be used. Armies must be battleforged. 3 detachments maximum. 2000 points You must bring 3 legible copies of your army list. They must include point values and unit upgrades. (One list for yourself, one for your opponent and one for the tournament organizer) You must list your faction on your army list. Your ITC faction is determined as follows: find the the most specific Faction Keyword (which is typically the last Faction Keyword listed on each unit's’ datasheet) shared by every model in the detachment with the most points in it in your army. This chart shows the faction scoring for the ITC. All models must be WYSIWYG. No proxies allowed. Counts as will be allowed provided it follows WYSIWYG for the model represented. If you are unsure about suitability of a miniature please contact the tournament organizer [ roth@fantasybooksinc.com ] ahead of the event. When using detachments in your army that contain models with different Faction Keywords, then they must be easily distinguished from other, similar faction models. Painting: All models used must be painted to a 3 color minimum standard and based. Primer counts as a color. Clear bases such as those found on skimmer models do not have to be painted or based. Sportsmanship: The ITC thumbs up or thumbs down format will be used. Two or more thumbs down scores for sportsmanship will be met with administrative action. Please involve a judge if you intend to give your opponent a thumbs down for sportsmanship. A thumbs down score may only be given for the following: Being greater than 15 minutes late to a round. Verbally abusive Physical aggressive Knowingly cheating on a rule Missions: The ITC Champions missions will be used for all games. The TO will pick 3 missions for the event out of the 6 possible choices. Games Workshop’s current FAQs and errata will be used. Data entry and result tracking will be done by the Best Coast Pairings (BCP) app.
