Come visit the home of Missouri’s second governor, Frederick Bates and learn about his role in creating Missouri as we now know it. Walk through the restored residence from the earliest days of Missouri statehood and see how life on frontier was lived. The estate also includes the family cemetery which contains the burial site of the governor, his wife, Nancy, and two of their four children.
