Max Hunter and his widowed mother, Esther, moved to Bethlehem USA to be closer to Esther’s sister, Emma. Esther and her sister decide to open a small boutique and café in Bethlehem. Pastor Welsh served as the pastor of Bethlehem’s only church. However, the church experienced a diminishing ministry due to several problems finally resulting in the church closing on Christmas Eve. Sometime after the church’s closing, John, a marine returning from military service, decided to settle in Bethlehem. Having no family ties, he took a job on Pastor Welsh’s sheep ranch. Pastor Welsh led John to Christ and stared mentoring him in his Christian walk. When Max and Esther, who were strong believers in Christ, moved into the town, they were disheartened to learn that there was no church they could attend. They approached Pastor Welsh and John about attempting to restart the church. Pastor Welsh agreed to their ideas. Their efforts were fruitful, and the church reopened on Christmas Eve 10 years after the church had closed.
