The Reformation Festival Service - Tuesday, October 31st, 7:00pm The Congregations of Southern Illinois District-LCMS Circuits 3&4 will be having a Festival Service celebrating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 1300 Beltline Rd, Collinsville, IL 62234. The order of service will follow Dr. Martin Luther's German Mass of 1526 (in English! - also known as Divine Service V in Lutheran Service Book) and will feature the combined choirs and instrumentalists of our congregations. The preacher will be the Rev. Paul T. McCain, Publisher and Executive Director for Editorial at Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis. The Rev. McCain was the editor of Concordia: The Lutheran Confessions - A Readers Edition of the Book of Concord and is recognized as an expert on the life and teaching of Dr. Martin Luther. Come to Good Shepherd on this 500th Anniversary Reformation Day and rejoice in the Gospel of Jesus Christ: that we are justified by grace, for Christ's sake, through faith alone apart from the works of the law!
