Tamika Jackson, teaching at River Bend Yoga since January 2017, has studied the connection between meditation, and, the body's participation in mindfulness through study and practice. Having experienced over 40 days of silent meditation in Buddhist retreat centers in Washington, Quebec and Rockford, Illinois, her style has developed to embrace the use of alignment and breath in dynamic ways. With the support of a wand and ball, each student will be guided thoughtfully through breathing, energy directing, and postures (asanas) that strengthen, stretch and expand the body, and your personal understanding of it. This is an ALL levels class. Ease or difficulty is determined by what you desire to gain within class time. October 27th 6:30 to 8:00 pm.... Capacity is at 13.
