Please join us for our 8th annual Wine, Beer and Spirits Tasting Fundraiser benefitting the Lynne F. Solon Foundation. The event includes an appetizer buffet, a silent auction and a wine and spirits pull. The mission of the Lynne F. Solon Foundation is to help improve the lives of individuals affected by diabetes and its related complications, as well as individuals living with other disabilities. The Foundation was formed to honor the memory of Lynne Solon, who died from complications of diabetes in 1993 at the age of 42. Throughout her life, Lynne exhibited a positive spirit and outlook, never letting her health problems deter her from being a caring, sensitive, loving and thoughtful person who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. In that spirit, the Lynne F. Solon Foundation has provided over $3055,000 in financial support for summer camps for youths that are affected by diabetes, family education, and other outreach programs. In addition, the Foundation’s outreach includes a contribution that helped fund an inclusive playground, funding a program that explained the difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes to fourth graders at a health fair that took place during the 2015-2016 school year and college scholarships to deserving high school graduates who live with physical and/or learning disabilities.
