Voices of the Past at Woodlawn Cemetery
10/9/2016 -

Edwardsville history comes to life as costumed grave-side actors tell of the mysteries, stories and stones at the 3rd annual Voices of the Past on October 8 and 9 -- Columbus Day weekend only -- at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1400 St. Louis Street.

Afternoon walking tours begin at 1:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  Guides lead small groups through the beautiful shaded historic cemetery stopping at seven sites, strolling back two centuries.  Tours begin every 10-15 minutes and last approximately 1 hour.  The last tour begins at 2:30pm.

On Saturday Oct. 8 at 7pm only, enjoy an intimate candlelight presentation while seated in Woodlawn's refinished hillside chapel. Light refreshments will be included. Seating in the chapel is very limited, so tickets are only available in advance!

Afternoon tour ticket prices are $13 for adults and $6 per child.  Discounted advance ticket for the afternoon tours are available for $10 for adults and $5 for children 11 and younger. All evening presentation tickets are $15 advance only.

Advance tickets are available for purchase at: Edwardsville Public Library, Glen Carbon Millennial Library, First Clover Leaf Bank (Edwardsville locations) and at the Madison County Archival Library on Main Street next to the Historical Museum.
